Journal Figure, Image Size and Poster Size Tools

FigurePrep is a set of free tools for researchers who prepare figures and posters. You can convert pixels to inches at a chosen resolution, work out the print size and uncompressed size of an image, turn PNG or JPG files into TIFF with a set DPI, check an image or a PDF’s fonts against figure specifications that publishers post in their author guidelines, and look up poster dimensions such as A0, A1, A2 and 36 x 48 inches. Files you choose are read inside your browser and are never uploaded. Publisher specifications change, so each preset page names its source and the date we read it, and the journal’s current instructions always decide. A check here is not a promise that a journal will accept a file.
